Question
What is the Commodity Credit Corporation(CCC) and what is its function?

IBS Responds
The Commodity Credit Corporation or CCC is an agency of the Department of Agriculture. Originally an outgrowth of the New Deal's Reconstruction Finance Corporation, the CCC was created in 1933 to support and maintain adequate supplies of US agricutural commodities as well as stabilizing price fluctuations. Some of the commodities the CCC maintains are wheat, cotton, rice, and peanuts.
