IBS Commodities

IBS has always had as its core business philosophy a dedication to service. We feel that excellent service and logistics management will develop lasting relationships which will, in turn, benefit both IBS and our clients. Listed below are a few of the key components to our service commitment.
  • Freight Forwarding - If desired, IBS will purchase/sell on an FOB basis. Our long-standing relationships and volume of transactions with many shipping companies enable our export operations department to negotiate the best possible freight rates and transit times. This efficiency is passed on to the client in better pricing and quicker delivery.

  • Trade Financing - IBS has long pursued aggressive and creative trade finance strategies. Our relationships with international and domestic banks allow us to free up working capital for our clients by converting receivables to bank instruments, which can then be traded in secondary markets.

  • Risk Management - IBS has commitments from global credit insurance companies to insure domestic and foreign receivables. Once a buyer is approved, the policy will cover non-payment due to insolvency, war/civil violence, foreign governmental intervention, and embargo. IBS also has marine insurance in place which will cover CIF shipments in the event of a catastrophic occurrence.

  • Spanish Fluency - IBS has Spanish speaking team members to better service the needs of the growing Latin American markets.
